Website Properties Review
Originally a domain brokerage, Website Properties entered the online business brokerage space in 2007, making them one of the first players in the industry.
WP primarily specializes in higher-value ($1M+) listings, however as of recently they appear to have also started taking on smaller properties.
WP’s valuations tend to fall into the high end of the spectrum, often in the vicinity of 3.5x yearly cash flow. This likely means that there’s usually significant room for negotiations.
Due Diligence / Asset Quality
Unfortunately the reviewer lacks sufficient information to be able to determine the average asset quality of Website Properties’ listings. If you’re a buyer who has dealt with WP and want to help others by providing some information, please get in touch with me.
Quality of Marketing Materials
Similarly to above, we haven’t had the pleasure to review WP’s marketing materials and are therefore unable to comment.
Longevity / Reliability
Website Properties has been established for nearly a decade and employs a number of staff, leading the reviewer to believe that there are no imminent longevity / reliability issues present.
The reviewer has no reason to doubt in WP’s integrity.
Inventory and Turnaround
The average number of live listings appears to be approximately 15-20, however it’s important to note that compared to some other brokers, WP’s turnaround times tend to be extremely high, with some listings remaining listed for over half a year, or in some cases over a year.
